For successful completion of every construction project, proper planning and implementation of strategies is necessary. The job of a construction company manager is very important as he supervises the project and ensures the completion of the project on time.

The job of a commercial construction management manager includes –
  1. Pre-construction plan - The construction manager will start with the planning of construction project before the actual construction begins.

It will include-

  • Detailed budget estimate
  • Constructability, & logistical assessments
  • Preparing of bid packages
  • Providing Value Engineering (VE) options
  • Selecting of vendors & subcontractors
  • Facilitating & managing the permit process

  2. Obtaining permits – The manager will take construction permits before starting with the construction process so that site work continues without any hitch.

Vendor selection – The construction manager will hire experienced and qualified subcontractors & vendors to obtain quality construction material.

On-site supervision –The manager will supervise the on-site construction work in order to ensure everything is going well.

Safety control & management – Adequate safety is necessary to avoid any accidents on the site. The manager will look towards the safety of the workers working on the construction site.

Timely completion of project – The manager will ensure timely completion of project to avoid losses to client.
